IDAC Certificate of HIV/AIDS Specialist
The Infectious Disease Association of California (IDAC) recognizes the superior training of infectious disease physicians in the area of HIV/AIDS medicine. For this reason, IDAC offers a Certificate of Recognition as a Specialist in HIV/AIDS Medicine for those physicians meeting the following criteria:
1. Successful completion of an Infectious Disease Fellowship program or Board Certified in Infectious Diseases.
2. Clinically manages the medical care of a minimum of 25 HIV infected patients.
3. The completion of 30 hours of HIV-related continuing medical education in the preceding 24 months.
4. The completion of 10 hours of Antiretroviral Therapy continuing medical education in the preceding 24 months.
The IDAC Certificate of Recognition as a Specialist in HIV/AIDS Medicine is valid for 2 years.
The IDAC Certificate of Recognition as a Specialist in HIV/AIDS Medicine requires a $60 processing fee.
Processing fee is waived for IDAC members.
